I ordered my keyboard case on friday, and it already arived (4 days from ordering, 3 days shipping). Great job to the seller for getting it out so quickly, I appreciate that. As for the case itself, its nice. The inclusion of the F keys and windows key is lol-worthy considering this thing is supposed to be specifically for honeycomb tablets, but I can't complain. The response time between the keyboard and the tablet is pretty phenominal IMO, its instant just like on a pc, actually faster than most of the soft keyboards I've installed. The case has 5 clips on it to hold the tablet, 2 on bottom, 1 on each side, and 1 on the top and they are adjustable to get the right fit (and to put the tablet in). The keyboard is wired, and the wire comes out from inside the case, not outside (think of a standard pc keyboard where the wire is on top, not to the left or right) with a space to route the extra wiring through as its a decent length. It also has a space that appears to be for a stylus, accessories apparently sold seperately lol. Over all, well worth my money.
For those who have this tablet and are even considering this case, GET IT. When I was linked here from the XDA forums I was skeptical since this isnt an Acer product, but its a great case.

Nothing real fancy but it works great. Just what I needed for travel. It doesn't work well on your lap due to the way the back is constructed but on a desk, it works fine.
BalasHapusThis product is without a doubt, the BEST Acer Iconia accessory I have purchased! No, joke, it actually took longer to unpack than for the keyboard to work when I plugged it in. I opened a browser and started typing using my on screen keyboard and THEN plugged in this USB keyboard. IMMEDIATELY, with NO ACTION or Settings required, I typed using the keyboard. I also went back and forth plugging and unplugging to see if I could make it "misbehave'. No luck, this thing worked every time! I also played around with the various keys on the board. Pressing ESC will close out the app you are in whether it is a browser session, e-mail, or whatever and return you to the Home screen. I also tested the Num Lock with the Function key and they worked as expected. Of course, you don't really need to use this because the numbers across the top of the keyboard work anyway. Now there are some keys\functions designed for Windows that won't work on the board, but then again, this keyboard is for my Android Tab and not a Windows PC.

BalasHapusLove this product. It works great. I even hooked a USB hub to it and was able to use the keyboard and a wireless mouse.
BalasHapusThis is my first review ever on Amazon (or anywhere else for that matter!), but I just had to say how much I love this case/keyboard combo. Disregard the older reviews - they are based on the older model which apparently had problems, but I can surely say that if you order this now (I ordered mine in July 2011) it WILL work. The keyboard/keys are flat (like a laptop keyboard) and doesn't add much bulk to the overall case thickness. The keys feel very comfortable and easy to type on. It's just so convenient to be able to type on a full keyboard and not have to use the onscreen touch keys! The case is rather nice too, and the stand tilts the Acer Iconia A500 up at a perfect angle for viewing and typing. I'm VERY glad I have this - keyboard and case all in one, so no need to carry around a separate bluetooth keyboard! You won't be dissapointed if you get this!

When you own a high end tablet your biggest concern is protecting it, yet most cases offer limited protection. For those looking for one that does protect you often face high costs and cases that are bulky and hard.
BalasHapusWell for anyone looking at this case you that double whammy disapears. This faux leather case offers real protection for your tablet, does not weigh it down, and as a true bonus the built in keyboard and kickstand covert it into whats almost a full feature netbook.
