Does what I wanted it to do

Seelye Engineering F Stop Media Gallery

This App does exactly what I need, and not a lot that I don't. I don't need to attach mustached caricatures of friends to phone transmissions. I don't need to mess with the social media facebook, flickr and so forth.

What I have is hundreds of pictures scattered across nearly twenty folders. This is my salvation. I have tried more than a dozen other photo albums [Scalado was the best of the rest] and Viewer apps. None of them do what this one does. Simply allow me to create an album that I name. Point to a picture where it is, and put it in the new album. Then I can type in sort tags. It has slide show and favorites and more.

Works great on the Kindle. Works OK on ASUS TF300 T tablet, too. Though in order to bring up the Move/Copy/Rename and Add to Album drop down menu from the Picture List mode thumbnails, you need a looonnngg press. It didn't affect my enjoyment and use of the App. You just have to hold it until the thumbnail picture turns blue. The thumbnail sized pictures in List mode are a nice feature in themselves.

The full paid version allows nested sub albums. Great feature.

Elegant simple intuitive. Excellent. Five stars

  1. This App does everything you would expect a Photo/video viewer to do. Allows you to organise your local contents by folder and or Album and you can view both videos and pictures in the same preview window.
Also does a whole host of stuff I haven't looked as yet like tagging etc.

  2. Liked this very much except for the MemoCal calendar issue, which appears to be nobodies fault. I use MemoCal a lot and that app stores my handwritten calendar entries as gallery images, which loads my gallery with lots of debris. However, they are easy enough to erase by date.

  3. This app is great for adding your own photos to the kindle fire, esp. photos from your computer. The videos also displayed very well.
I really liked the slideshow which is easy set up and displays photos with enough time to see the photo but not so long you are left waiting for the next too long.

  4. I needed a gallery that sorted by name not by last update. This app does exactly that. I have no idea why the KF gallery cant do this stuff.

  5. It works great on my Kindle Fire. Organizes into folders and plays MP4 videos clearly. It's just what I needed.

  6. This app is much better than the standard Kindle FIre HD gallery as many have noted here because of the ability to order your photos according to name.

It now has a full screen view (the previous one permanently displayed the side options bar). So I'm giving this free app 5 stars now. It deserves it.

  7. I use this app on my Kindle and on my phone. I do not have a lot of photos on these devices but I wanted to have a way to easily sort the photos that I do have into folders. Works great for me.

  8. Does everything i wanted a photo viewer to do....allows easy organization of photos....create albums or view through your folders...remove photos easily from albums without deleting entirely ...and
choose a favorite to be used as the cover ....adjust thumbnail size and ...select multiple photos to move or delete.
